The Basketball Network has dedicated support articles to assist associations in reducing time spent restarting and monitoring online competitions post-COVID-19.
This article outlines the steps to save time in adjusting your existing competition fixture if you have had to reschedule your season due to COVID-19 but wish to continue with the same competition configurations but a reduced or increased number of teams.
There are many features within The Basketball Network which assist with adjusting an existing competition fixture in a time-efficient manner.
The first is the Redraw Fixture by Round this allows you to reschedule any rounds of your competition that have not yet occurred.
If your rounds were scheduled to occur in the past but were not played, you will need to complete a bulk match change to be able to activate the Redraw feature. You can read more about this stage of the fixturing process here
The Fixture Equalisation option as part of the Redraw feature is a significant time-saver in rescheduling competitions as it automatically rebalances fixtures to ensure equality of scheduling.
The benefit of this option is that there is a report to check the quality of the Fixture Equalisation it is called the Fixture Summary Report.
The Fixture Summary Report will allow associations to have a detailed overview of the balance of the fixture, which you can then make any manual adjustments to your fixture from.
Tip: After you have configured your competitions, regraded your teams, rebalanced your fixtures it is time to prepare Courtside Digital Scoring ahead of the restart from COVID-19 you can read about this here
