The Basketball Network is continually evolving to automate administration processes, across membership and competition management.
We have received considerable feedback on some features, so wished to outline how they are currently being planned for within The Basketball Network and how they will enhance the features available on Courtside.
Referee/Official Scheduling & Payment
Note: The Basketball Network is currently rolling out a new feature called 'Accreditations' for quality data capture for non-playing members within Basketball in Australia. This will allow a scheduling tool to be introduced.
Requirement: Ability to organise and pay referees/officials using an online, automated system that is automatically linked to The Basketball Network database and Courtside.
Development Status: Exploring options in the market and trialling solutions at national and state level across 2020, no automatic integration with The Basketball Network powered by SportsTG.
Current Solution: The 'Referee Allocation Tool' is available within The Basketball Network if you wish to have this turned on at your association please contact The Basketball Network Support here.
Requirement: Ability to record 'most valuable player' awards within Courtside or The Basketball Network database in a simple, safe and secure manner.
Development Status: Requires 'Accreditations' to be rolled out before it can be developed for the sport, as it needs the accreditations data to be as safe and secure as possible.
Current Solution: You can currently use the 'Awards' functionality within The Basketball Network database, if you wish to know more about this feature please contact The Basketball Network Support here.
Requirement: Ability to record injuries within Courtside or The Basketball Network database in a simple, safe, secure and detailed manner for insurance purposes (detailed injury management forms).
Development Status: Requires 'Accreditations' to be rolled out before it can be released for the sport, as it needs the accreditations data to be as accurate as possible for insurance purposes.
Current Solution: You can currently run a one-click report for injuries record in Courtside via Reports > Courtside > Match Summaries (Injuries and Incidents) > Run > Enter Date Range > Run Report
